Habitat Characteristics of Namalycastis rhodochorde

Namalycastis rhodochorde is a new species polychaete of infaunal Sei Kakap estuarine habitats. The studied were done by hand collecting methods from May-October 2007 in Sei Kakap mangrove forest. The result has collected 45 individual (43 female and 2 male) which consist of 31 (68.89%) immature and 14 (31.11%) mature individual. The body length and weight of each individual was between 22.2-149.3 cm and 1.45-63.74 g respectively. The habitat was characterized by muddy-clay, low salinity and high organiccarbon content.
